My Spain Trip Part - 2

Hey everyone, thank you for your overwhelming support on my last blog post. This is the sequel of the most amazing football experience I have ever had. I hope you enjoy this as much as the last one.

After the opening ceremony, we head straight to the stadium where our first match was going to be held. The "Mini Estadi". As I entered the stadium I was sweating and my heart was pounding!.

I had never seen so many teams from around the world gathered in one place, I was scared as well as excited. There were 3 groups according to the ages of the players i.e [ U-8, U-12, U-14]. I was in the U -12 category. Every child came with an aspiration to win, but at the end of the day, only one team can win the tournament, and that is the bitter-sweet truth.

So, I had in total of 6-7 matches-

My first match was against Charlotte. It was quite daunting to see the other team play. At first, we were just keeping the possession of the ball with ourselves, but as the match continued we started to play a bit of defense and attack according to the other team. It was quite extraordinary, the experience of the first international match that I played in the stadium of the team FC Barcelona, wearing number 10.

The second match was with Catalunya Blau continued by, our third match against Egypt. Afterward, in the third round, our matches were with Varsovia, Grana, and Australia. Our last match was against USA.

Overall, it was a remarkable tournament and an excellent experience. I learnt a lot from this once in a lifetime experience and made a lot of new friends.

We came 2nd in the group stage and 31st overall in the U-12 category.
I absolutely loved it, the whole experience.

My Spain Trip Part - 1

Hey everyone, I am Aadi Mittar and I am writing my first blog. This blog is all about my experience of the International Football Tournament, where I got a chance to play through my football academy I had been going to.

So, the academy which I go to is known as Barca Academy and it is quite an exceptional place to learn and play football. Barca Academy is the official FC Barcelona's Football School all around the world, it provides an amazing opportunity for players in the age group of 5-17 years to learn the unmatched Barca style. The academy gives us the same training which has developed players like Lionel Messi, Andrés Iniesta, and Gerard PiquéI was playing in the same academy for 4 months until I was selected for the Barca world cup in under 13 category among all the branches of Delhi NCR. The tournament was being held in Barcelona, Spain.

It all started two months before the starting of the tournament, our training, our practice matches, fitness tests, etc were all being held on Sundays. I had an astounding team consisting of 7 players on field and 4 as rolling substitutes. We were all focused and were training very hard. As time passed by so quickly we were in Barcelona walking through the hallway of our hotel, going to collect our jerseys for our opening ceremony and our first match for the next day.

As I entered the stadium where our opening ceremony had started a minute ago I was astonished there were so many people almost the whole stadium was filled with players who were participating, along with their families. I stood near my seat awestruck when the host announced that currently in the opening ceremony there were 188 teams sitting in the stadium from over 31 countries from around the world.

After the opening ceremony, we head straight to the stadium where our first match was going to be held. The "MINI ESTADI"

As I entered the stadium I was SWEATING and my heart was POUNDING!

TO BE CONTINUED.....
